project management

The Erling Team successfully completed the ground-up Georgian Market project in Austin, TX, in the spring of 2024. Located on a corner lot, the site now features a state-of-the-art fuel system, including a 25,000-gallon tank divided into three compartments (15,000, 5,000, and 5,000 gallons) Franklin UPP piping, and three new Wayne Ovation 2 dispensers installed on the forecourt.

Our Project Management Team demonstrated exceptional diligence and efficiency throughout the year-long project, from August 2023 to its completion. Responsibilities included overseeing third-party subcontractors for concrete work, canopy manufacturing, and hauling services, as well as managing schedules and scopes for Erling Construction, Electrical, and Regulatory Departments.

Collaboration with the property owner and various agencies, including the City of Austin Development Center, was crucial to ensure adherence to building permits and regulatory requirements. Key challenges included the City’s mandate for a Hazardous Materials Interceptor (HMI) System on the forecourt island to manage fuel spills and prevent environmental contamination, and a 90-day permitting process for the canopy. Our team effectively navigated these challenges through proactive and consistent communication with city officials.

In conclusion, the successful completion of the Georgian Market project reflects the Erling Project Management Team’s commitment to excellence and their ability to effectively manage complex requirements and regulatory hurdles. Our comprehensive approach ensured that all project objectives were met, contributing to a well-executed installation that meets both operational and environmental standards.
